Located at 2441 NW 43rd St #6c, Gainesville, FL 32606, Bageland operates as a bagel shop serving Gainesville in Florida. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as bakery, so it may cover more than the name suggests.
American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Prices are posted per item, by the dozen or by the pound, and most shops now take cards and mobile payment.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 6 am–2 pm. I used to go there regularly. They had a great salmon bagel. unfortunately that is no longer true. I just got a salmon bagel and it had tiny pieces of salmon blended with cram cheese. it had no flavor and was very disappointing.

Something happened to their bagels. I have been going there for decades. They need to go back to their old recipe or the recipe of the previous owners. The bagels are now lumps of dough. Basically they look undercooked and tasteless. Limited color. I wonder if they boil and then bake or if they changed their process. Definitely not New York style anymore.

WOW! I stumbled upon Bageland, this afternoon and I couldn’t be more pleased. They have several varieties of huge, handmade Bagels and “Toppers”. I tried the tomato Basil pizza bagel and a plain bagel with garlic butter spread, both were delightful! It has a quiet and calm ambience for studying, and they have free wifi available. If you are looking for bagels in Gainesville, skip the 7AM line at Lukes and give this place a try :)

I’ve been here before and the bagel was solid and they also had good fresh orange juice. However, I went there this past weekend at around 1:30 (fairly close to closing time I admit so I do apologize), but I ordered an onion bagel and sat down. A woman then comes out and tells me they are all out of bagels except one weirdly shaped whole wheat bagel. I was open-minded, since it seemed like there wasn’t any other option and I’m not super picky about bagels flavors. It was the worst bagel I have ever had. I’m not kidding. It was weirdly dry and also tasted like sawdust. I’m just disappointed she didn’t offer me a refund and instead gave me this deformed, broken whole wheat bagel. Also, I got a combo thinking the orange juice would be fresh, but it was just in a tropicana bottle out of a cooler in the front. The coffee tasted like water. I’m just sad. I liked this place. I can’t believe I spent $8 on a bagel I didn’t want and bad drinks. Time to find a new bagel place :/ EDIT: The bagel was still bad, but I think the owner's responses to people's bad reviews are funny. I remember how kind the last owners were LOL. The staff here is very kind, I admit and I will try the restaurant aga

This is my second time dining here and it was once again a great experience! - The quantity of food for the price is unmatched. - The quality of the food is good. it's not the greatest I've ever eaten, but it's lovely in its simplicity. - The interior is cute in a quaint way. it feels very much like a hometown favorite. - The staff is very friendly. I won't beat around the bush: Bageland blows Luke's out of the water. Personally, I prefer these bagels to Luke's. I know that's subjective. But objectively, Bageland is better because it has an indoor dining space, is way cheaper for more food, and doesn't get insanely slammed all the time. You're not baking in the sun for 30 minutes to enjoy a bagel. This is now my favorite breakfast place in Gainesville. It's not fancy, it's not innovative, it's not trendy. It's just plain good food served at great prices by friendly people who've been working here for a long time. It's the perfect spot to relax and enjoy some delicious carbs.
